This section includes real-life stories of women and queer people on their experiences in healthcare, the biases they have faced regarding gender affirming care, reproductive health, abortion rights, PCOS, menstrual/hormonal issues, etc., and the adverse effects these biases had on their health.
The healthcare system is still permeated with age-old biases due to the lack of research and awareness around women’s health and that of other gender minorities.
For example, the cliché statement “everything will be fine after you get married” is a solution many healthcare professionals offer to women. Tune in to this page for many such real stories!
